Vicky Kaushal is going all out to promote his upcoming period drama, Chhaava. Directed by Laxman Utekar, he’ll be playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. This film is one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. The excitement is through the roof, especially after the impressive trailer. To build even more hype before the release, Vicky shared some behind-the-scenes photos and videos of his preparation for Chhaava on February 9.

Vicky seems to have really thrown himself into the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, based on the trailer. The behind-the-scenes pics and videos highlight his serious commitment and hard work. He’s hit the scales at 100.5 kg, got his ears pierced, learned to ride horses, and has been putting in serious gym time. Plus, he’s been practicing for battle scenes and even dancing to Punjabi and Marathi tunes. His photo dump is super motivating! He shared, "Good old #Chhaava prep days! Right after he posted, fans started praising his efforts. One fan commented, "The preparation of the young one is unmatched!" Another added, "The level of dedication and hard work in this film is something you don't see often these days. We know the story as Maharashtrians, but now the entire country will get to know about the sacrifice of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj." Someone else chimed in, "This guy is like a chameleon; his transformations for each role are just incredible." Many others were also leaving fire emojis in the comments.

Besides Chhaava, the movie features Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. Rashmika will play Yesubai Bhonsale, while Akshaye takes on the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava is set to release in theaters on February 14, 2025.
