Television actress Chahatt Khanna experienced her first marriage at a very young age, but it ended within just four months. Her subsequent marriage also concluded in divorce. Chahatt Khanna talks about her difficult divorce
Chahatt expressed that divorces and separations are inherently difficult, particularly when children are involved. She remarked, "My second separation was extremely challenging. One of my daughters lives with Farhan, while the other resides with me, and we maintain a cordial relationship. We communicate for the sake of our children, as they are our shared responsibility. Any divorce is painful and not easy to navigate. Moreover, being a public figure complicates the situation, making it harder to confront others. There were numerous occasions when I hesitated to face people, knowing they would judge me. I have not received alimony from either of my ex-husbands, yet I often face accusations of being a gold digger. I wonder, where is the gold? I receive messages and DMs claiming that I am living off alimony, which is also a societal stigma."
Chahatt Khanna claims people refused to work with her
She elaborated on the stigma associated with divorce within the entertainment industry, stating, "Many individuals were reluctant to work with me. If your name is tarnished, many prefer not to associate with you. When your personal matters are widely reported in the media, it deters people from collaborating with you. Major production houses will avoid working with you. Some managers have directly told me that they wish to pass on opportunities due to the negative press surrounding my personal life."
