In October 2021, on the same day his movie Bhajarangi 2 hit theaters, Century Star Shivarajkumar faced the heartbreaking loss of his younger brother, Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar. While Shivanna, as he's affectionately called, deeply feels the absence of his brother, he chooses not to focus on his loss. Instead, the Hattrick Hero believes that Puneeth is still present in spirit, surrounding him with love.

Recently, Shivanna shared his thoughts on the idea of a biopic about Puneeth, who started acting as a child and even won a National Award for Best Child Actor for his role in Bettada Hoovu. He expressed, “I’m not a fan of biopics. Someone once suggested making one about my father, the late Dr. Rajkumar, and I think it’s best not to. They are living legends to me; they will always be alive in my heart. Puneeth and Rajkumar will always be with me. I don’t feel their absence at all.”

Shivanna went on to say that just thinking about Puneeth brings him to tears. He doesn’t want to feel sad watching a biopic and mentioned that he was approached to star in one himself, but he’s not interested. However, he did reveal that he is currently working on a biopic about another legendary figure.

45 marks the directorial debut of composer Arjun Janya and is Shivarajkumar’s first significant release since last year's Bhairathi Ranagal. The actor also makes a brief appearance in his daughter Niveditha Shivarajkumar’s first feature film production, Firefly, set to hit theaters on April 24, coinciding with Dr. Rajkumar's birth anniversary. The film features Real Star Upendra, who has previously worked with Shivarajkumar both as a director in Om and as an actor in Preethse and Kabzaa.
