Next year, the Celebrity Cricket League plans to incorporate fan participation by selecting two individuals per team. A rigorous selection process will be implemented, with the primary criterion being that candidates must not have any professional cricket experience, including representation at the district or state level. Further information regarding the opening of registrations will be announced soon.

This initiative arises as CCL Season 11 commences with only seven teams, following the withdrawal of the Kerala Strikers, who opted out of the tournament due to prolonged sponsorship issues and diminishing fan interest, as they have seldom advanced beyond the group stage. Over the years, there have been concerns regarding the financial stability of the organizers, a point that CCL founder Vishnu Induri acknowledged during a press conference in Bengaluru when questioned about the social initiatives funded by the tournament's revenue.

In previous statements, Vishnu noted that they have facilitated numerous medical procedures for the underprivileged. However, he emphasized that the current focus is on revitalizing the brand, comparing the situation to a drop in cabin pressure on an airplane, where one must secure their own oxygen mask before assisting others. "We are now attempting to revive CCL and ensure our own survival," he stated. Vishnu also declined to disclose the league's valuation after 11 seasons.

CCL Season 11 commenced on February 8 and is scheduled to continue until March 2, with the semi-finals and final taking place in Coimbatore. The matches are being broadcast live on Disney+ Hotstar.
