Shubhdeep, the younger brother of the late Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala, marked his first birthday on Monday. He enjoyed the day surrounded by family. Former Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi even shared a video of himself joining in on the festivities.

Channi shared a short video on Instagram showing the little one in his mom Charan Kaur's arms. Surrounded by family and guests, they all cheered and sang happy birthday as he cut the cake. Afterward, Channi attempted to feed the baby a piece of cake.

Shubhdeep's birthday bash was a total blast

The video features the message, "Happy birthday Sidhu saab" along with cake and red heart emojis. For the celebration, the little one was dressed in a black kurta, pyjama, and a pink turban. A large cutout of Sidhu was prominently displayed in the background, surrounded by vibrant balloons. In another segment, his dad, Balkaur Singh, was spotted alongside his wife and son.

Last year, after the arrival of his son, Balkaur took to Instagram to share some adorable glimpses of the baby. He wrote a heartfelt caption in Punjabi, saying, "Thanks to the blessings of countless souls who care for Shubdeep, the Almighty has gifted us with Shubh's little brother. With Waheguru's grace, our family is doing well, and I'm truly grateful to all the supporters for their overwhelming love (folded hands emoji)."

Sidhu Moosewala, who was 28 years old, was killed on May 29, 2022, in Mansa. This tragic event occurred just a day after his security detail was removed as part of the Punjab government's efforts, led by CM Bhagwant Mann, to eliminate VIP culture in the state. Sidhu had previously contested the Assembly elections from Mansa on a Congress ticket but lost to AAP's Vijay Singla.
