Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz recently participated in an interview with Complex to discuss their forthcoming Netflix film, Back in Action.
In their segment on Complex's ‘GOAT Talk,’ Diaz explored her perspectives on the future of humanity, linking potential transformations to our reliance on screens and technology. She speculated that, over time, humans could evolve to embody the classic depiction of extraterrestrial beings, characterized by “large heads, prominent eyes,” and “elongated, nimble fingers.” Her intriguing remarks left Foxx visibly astonished, yet she continued to elaborate.
Diaz quips humans will end up living on Mars
In a lighthearted discussion regarding the future of space exploration, Diaz remarked, “We are all aware that our departure from Earth is imminent, especially now that Elon Musk has assumed the presidency,” and further speculated, “Ultimately, we will find ourselves on Mars, correct?” She continued by pondering, “Upon our arrival on Mars, we may evolve into an entirely different species.”
She drew a parallel, stating, “Just as humans excavate artefacts from millennia past, the inhabitants of Mars will eventually uncover items that we utilize today.”
“We will possess all the technology that the extraterrestrial visitors have while they are here on Earth, and those visitors will essentially be us, journeying back in time to learn about who they were at any given moment... They are, in essence, us,” she provocatively suggested, leaving the Day Shift actor in deep thought.
Foxx responded, “When you shared that with me, it messed with my mind on the drive home.” He humorously questioned, “If we are meant to oversee everything, then why was I pulled over by the police the other day?”
“Could the Illuminati intervene and tell him to leave me alone?” He clarified his position by stating, “I have great respect for police officers.”
In a light-hearted new video released by Netflix, the duo addressed rumours of any alleged discord between them, with Foxx singing, “Back in action! Back in action! Satisfaction! We’re back in action. People don’t even realize how long we’ve been friends.” Diaz concurred, reminiscing, “Indeed, we have been friends since we worked together on Any Given Sunday in 1999. And now, we’re back in action, baby!”
