Brittany Cartwright has revealed that she will not be celebrating Christmas with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, as they navigate their divorce. In a statement to TMZ, when inquired about the possibility of her ex joining her for the holiday festivities, she responded, “Not this year. Maybe in the future. We’ll see.” The couple disclosed their separation earlier this year during an episode of their podcast When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany.
Cartwright to celebrate Christmas away from Taylor
On Friday, upon her arrival at LAX, the Vanderpump Rules star stated, “We’re just trying to figure things out. There’s a lot going on.” She conveyed that the holiday season has been particularly challenging for her, and she has managed to navigate it largely due to the support of her family and her three-year-old son, Cruz, whom she shares with Taylor. She remarked, “I make [Christmas] very special for my son. So, the whole house is decked out and I’m basically like Mrs. Claus.”
In related news, it was previously reported that Taylor's son has entered a mental health facility and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
When discussing the possibility of reconciling with her estranged husband, she informed the outlet, “That ship has sailed.” Cartwright also acknowledged that she is currently “very single.” This statement follows reports suggesting that she has been “casually” dating Julian Sensley, a former basketball player turned actor. Additionally, she revealed that her physical relationship with Taylor’s former friend has “been over for a while,” as reported by Page Six.
Cartwright’s split from Taylor
Cartwright first submitted a divorce petition against Taylor in August, stating "irreconcilable differences" as the basis for their separation after five years of marriage. However, the circumstances changed in October when Jax Taylor reinitiated the divorce process following Cartwright's erroneous assertion in legal documents that they had never been legally married. This mistake led Taylor to rectify the situation and to file for divorce once more.
