Brandon Sklenar Aligns with ‘Team…’ in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Controversy

Brandon Sklenar, who shared the screen with Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in It Ends With Us, is maintaining a neutral position amidst the ongoing legal dispute involving his former co-stars.
Lively has leveled accusations of sexual harassment against Baldoni, claiming he has engaged in a “smear campaign” against her during the promotional activities for the film.
In response, Baldoni has filed a countersuit, refuting the allegations and accusing Lively of extortion. He initially initiated legal proceedings by lodging a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times concerning its coverage of the matter. Subsequently, he intensified the legal conflict with a second lawsuit, seeking $400 million from Lively and her spouse, Ryan Reynolds, alleging extortion and other forms of misconduct.
Sklenar urges audiences to ‘remember why we made the movie in the first place’
Sklenar, who has generally remained outside the controversy, recently commented on the matter while promoting the second season of 1923. During his appearance on CBS Mornings, host Gayle King directly inquired whether he aligned with “Team Blake or Team Justin.” Sklenar responded with a chuckle, stating, “I’m Team It Ends With Us.”
“I want people to remember the reasons we created the film and the values it represents, keeping the focus on that,” he expressed.
“I have someone very dear to me who has experienced what [Lively’s character Lily is] enduring for an extended period, and I have been actively involved in assisting her through that journey, so the film holds significant meaning for me and for her,” he elaborated.
“One of the motivations for my participation in the film was to provide her with the strength to transform her life. It is regrettable that the essence of the project can become obscured and misinterpreted,” he continued.
Nevertheless, some speculate that Sklenar may have subtly shown support for Lively in December when he shared a link to her initial grievance against Baldoni on his Instagram Story, accompanied by the caption, “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, READ THIS.”
