The residence of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in Bandra (West) was burglarized, resulting in Saif sustaining injuries after being reportedly stabbed by the intruder. The incident took place at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday while the actor and his family were asleep in their home.

Thief's escape and police investigation

 A report indicates that the authorities assert the thief escaped the premises as the residents of the house were awakening, and they are actively working to track him down. Multiple police teams have been established to capture the suspect, and the Bandra police are in the process of filing a First Information Report (FIR).

According to a senior IPS officer, Saif is presently receiving medical care at Lilavati Hospital. The severity of his injuries sustained during the confrontation with the thief remains unknown. Investigations into the matter are ongoing, and concurrently, the Mumbai crime branch is conducting its own inquiry into the incident.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani from Lilavati Hospital reported to the portal that an unidentified assailant attacked Saif at his residence. He was admitted to Lilavati around three in the morning. Of the six injuries he sustained, two are particularly severe, with one being critical near his spinal column. The surgical procedure is currently in progress. The operation is being conducted with the expertise of anaesthesiologist Nisha Gandhi, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and neurosurgeon Nitin Dange. The extent of the injuries will be determined following the completion of the surgery.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif have resided in the Satguru Sharan building located in Bandra West, Mumbai, since their marriage in 2012. They are the proud parents of two sons, Taimur, who is 8 years old, and Jeh, who is 4 years old.

Saif's team issued an official statement concerning the incident, which stated, "An attempted burglary occurred at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is presently in the hospital undergoing surgery. We kindly ask the media and fans for their patience during this time. This is a matter for the police. We will provide updates as the situation develops."

For those unfamiliar, Saif made his acting debut in the 1993 film Parampara. He has appeared in numerous films, including Dil Chahta Hai, Omkara, and the Netflix series Sacred Games. He is the son of Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan, and he hails from the Pataudi family.
