On Sunday evening, a touching prayer meeting took place to celebrate the life of the legendary actor Manoj Kumar, who sadly passed away on April 4 at the age of 87. The event, organized by his family, was filled with love and admiration from numerous Bollywood stars who came to pay their respects to the iconic figure whose films have profoundly influenced Indian cinema.

Among the first attendees were Bollywood icons Aamir Khan, Jaya Bachchan, and Farhan Akhtar. Aamir was seen warmly welcoming Kumar's family outside the venue, while Farhan arrived with his mother, Honey Irani. Jaya Bachchan took a moment to chat with music director Anu Malik before entering, reminiscing about her connection with the legendary actor. Esha Deol, the daughter of Hema Malini, also showed her respects, bowing her head in reverence at the entrance.

Veteran actor Prem Chopra, who starred alongside Kumar in films like Shaheed, and actress Aruna Irani, who was introduced by Kumar in Upkar (1967), were also in attendance. Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan came with his wife, Pinkie Roshan, further highlighting the strong presence of Bollywood personalities at the prayer meeting.

Manoj Kumar was cremated with state honors at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai on Saturday, a farewell attended by notable figures such as Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salim Khan, and Arbaaz Khan. Born Harikrishan Goswami on July 24, 1937, in Abbottabad (now in Pakistan), Kumar gained fame in the 1960s and 1970s, earning the beloved nickname "Bharat Kumar" for his memorable roles in patriotic films like Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Shaheed. In addition to his acting career, he made significant strides as a director and producer, with his directorial debut Upkar (1967) winning the National Film Award for Second Best Feature Film.
