There has been an increasing trend of South Indian directors achieving significant success in Bollywood lately. Filmmakers such as Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Gopichand Malineni, Atlee, AR Murugadoss, Prasanth Varma, and others have been engaging Hindi actors for their projects. Recently, reports emerged that Bobby, the director of Daaku Maharaaj, reached out to Hrithik Roshan regarding a potential collaboration. When inquired about this, he provided the following response.

Did Bobby approach Hrithik Roshan for his Bollywood debut?

On Monday, Gulte reported that Bobby had indeed approached Hrithik for his Bollywood debut. Industry insiders suggested that Hrithik had shown interest in a preliminary story presented by the director, although the script had not yet been finalized. It was also mentioned that Bobby is currently refining the script in preparation for another meeting with the actor, and if Hrithik approves, the film will move into production.

However, when Hindustan Times contacted the director to confirm these reports, he stated, “It’s not true,” without providing further details about his upcoming project. Bobby's film, Daaku Maharaaj, featuring Balakrishna, was released in theaters during Sankranthi this year and reportedly grossed ₹125 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk, despite facing competition from Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunam.

Kolli Santosh Ravindra, popularly known as Bobby, made his directorial debut with the 2014 film Power, starring Ravi Teja. He has collaborated with notable actors such as Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR, Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya, and Chiranjeevi, creating popular action films like Sardar Gabbar Singh, Jai Lava Kusa, Venky Mama, and Waltair Veerayya. Following the release of the Balakrishna film, he is currently “working on a few scripts” but has not yet announced his next project.

Hrithik is set to take on directing duties for Krrish 4, succeeding his father, Rakesh Roshan. The cast and crew for the film have yet to be revealed. Additionally, he will appear in Ayan Mukherji’s War 2, which will mark Jr NTR's Bollywood debut.
