Blake Lively conveyed her enthusiasm for reuniting with Anna Kendrick during the premiere of Another Simple Favor on Friday. The 37-year-old actress, known for her role in Gossip Girl, has been the subject of speculation regarding a "secret feud" with the 39-year-old Pitch Perfect star. However, at the event, she expressed her delight in their collaboration as they came together to promote their forthcoming sequel on Amazon Prime Video.

Lively gushes over working with Anna Kendrick amid feud rumours

A video posted by Entertainment Tonight on X shows Lively interacting with fans and signing autographs when she was inquired about her collaboration with Anna Kendrick. As she passed by, a fan posed the question, “Blake, what does it mean to be back with Anna?” The actress replied, “Oh, it's the best! I'm so happy,” before being directed to continue for additional photographs, as reported by Daily Mail.

Her remarks followed Kendrick's apparent allusion to Lively's ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, as she evaded a question during the SXSW Film Festival in Austin on Friday. When inquired about the impact of "everything going on in the world" on the film, Kendrick provided a rather ambiguous answer on the red carpet while speaking with Variety. She stated, “Why, what happened? I did ayahuasca and the last year of my life is just gone.” She further added, “But I've heard the movie is amazing,” before proceeding forward.

Although Lively and Kendrick were seen at the premiere, the two did not appear to interact. The only instance in which they were captured together in a single frame was when director Paul Feig positioned himself between the two actresses.

Feig doubles down support for Lively

In a discussion with The Hollywood Reporter, Feig remarked, “However, I have heard that the film is exceptional.” He also shared his thoughts on collaborating once more with Kendrick and Lively following A Simple Favor (2018), describing the experience as "immensely enjoyable,” as noted by People. Paul expressed, “I truly had a wonderful time during the first film. It has always remained with me. I absolutely love working with both of them, along with the entire cast.”

In a separate video that did not gain widespread attention on X, a fan inquired about Kendrick's experience working with Lively again in the sequel. During a fan interaction, one individual asked, “What does it feel like to collaborate with Blake again?” Kendrick replied, “Oh, you know…” before proceeding to take selfies with other attendees at the premiere event.
