Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' children are reportedly experiencing significant emotional distress due to the legal proceedings surrounding It Ends With Us involving Justin Baldoni. In a revised complaint submitted to a federal court in New York on Tuesday, the Gossip Girl actress asserted that her four children—James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 2—have been “emotionally uprooted in ways that have substantially impacted their well-being.”

The complaint indicates that Lively's children are not the sole individuals adversely affected by the scandal, which involved Baldoni initiating a $400 million defamation lawsuit against his co-star and her spouse. In the legal documents, the 37-year-old actress claimed that Reynolds has “experienced mental, physical, and professional repercussions due to the suffering of his wife and children,” as reported by Page Six.

In the midst of this upheaval, Lively “found it difficult to rise from bed,” as stated in the complaint. “She often opts to avoid public outings. Although she has endeavoured to uphold her personal life and business pursuits, she has endured grief, fear, trauma, and severe anxiety in private,” the filing elaborates.

Beyond her mental health challenges, the It Ends With Us conflict has led to the Age of Adaline actress experiencing “persistent and distressing physical symptoms.” Lively's revised complaint follows her and Ray Reynolds' attendance at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special event last week, which was their first red carpet appearance since the commencement of their legal dispute with Baldoni.

In December of last year, Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging that he fostered a “hostile” work environment on set, added intimate scenes to the film without her approval, and orchestrated a “smear campaign” aimed at damaging her public reputation. The 41-year-old subsequently filed a countersuit against both her and Reynolds.
