A source shared with In Touch that her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, is really hoping to repair their strained relationship. The father-daughter connection faced some struggles in 2024, especially since Miley stood firmly by her mom, Tish Cyrus, during tough times for the family.

Billy Ray Cyrus is hoping to have Miley Cyrus back in his life

A source told the media, “Billy Ray is really heartbroken because Miley has completely shut him out. She’s even been talking about how amazing her 2024 has been, acting like this feud with her dad doesn’t bother her at all.” They added, “He’s feeling really down about it and fears that if he can’t reach her soon, they might end up permanently estranged.”

The source also mentioned, “He tries to call her all the time and sends her messages, but she just ignores him. She won’t answer his calls, but he keeps making the effort. He’s even asked [her siblings] Noah and Braison to help him out.”

The insider noted that the Achy Breaky Heart singer said, “All he wants this year is to have Miley back in his life,” as he struggles to accept that their rift might be forever. The insider went on, “He honestly can’t believe it’s come to this. Tish isn’t talking to him either, but he’s been reaching out to her, hoping she’ll step in. It’s tough for him to admit his mistakes, but he’s ready to take full responsibility and will do whatever it takes to mend things with Miley. That’s what matters most to him.”

Miley Cyrus isn't looking to patch things up with Billy Ray at all

Recently, Page Six shared that Miley isn't interested in mending her rocky relationship with her dad, Billy Ray. They also mentioned that her brother Trace Cyrus wrote a letter about the family drama, but he made sure to get the okay from all their siblings—except for Braison, who Billy Ray just announced a new album with.

In February 2024, Miley snagged a Grammy for Record of the Year and gave a shoutout to her mom Tish and sister Brandi during her acceptance speech. Interestingly, she didn’t mention her dad at all. She wrapped it up with a funny line, saying, “I don't think I forgot anyone but I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!"
