Billy Joel has decided to delay his 2025 tour due to a “medical condition” that led to surgery. His team shared the news on social media Tuesday, revealing that both the US and European parts of the Billy Joel in Concert tour will now take place four months later.

Billy Joel has delayed his concert due to a health issue

Joel recently announced on Instagram that his upcoming concert dates will be pushed back due to a health issue. The current tour is being postponed for four months so he can recover from recent surgery and go through physical therapy with his doctors.

The "Uptown Girl" star is expected to make a full recovery, and the tour will kick off again at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 5, 2025. In his own message, Joel shared his disappointment about having to reschedule but emphasized that his health is the priority.

“I’m really sorry to have to postpone any shows, but I need to focus on my health. I can’t wait to get back on stage and share the joy of live music with all of you. Thanks for your understanding,” Joel said. The new dates will be announced soon:

1. November 15, 2025: Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan (with Stevie Nicks)
2. March 14, 2026: Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada
3. April 10, 2026: Syracuse JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York (with Sting)
4. May 22, 2026: Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah (featuring Sting)
5. June 6, 2026: Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland
6. June 20, 2026: Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, England
7. July 3, 2026: Charlotte Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina (featuring Sting)
8. TBD: American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (featuring Sting)
