Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande have quickly become good friends after their recent public outing. The two artists have connected over a range of topics, including their careers, fashion, and love lives. According to a source from Life & Style, their friendship has created a fresh vibe, as they keep hanging out and backing each other in both personal and professional matters.

Billie Eilish has been a huge fan of Ariana Grande since she was a kid

A source told the media, “For Billie, this is like a dream from her childhood coming to life. She’s been a huge fan of Ariana Grande since she was little, so it’s just mind-blowing for her that they’re now friends. She’s absolutely thrilled and can’t contain her excitement.”

The Wicked– A Conversation with Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande event took place at the DGA Theater Complex on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The source mentioned, “When Ariana asked Billie to be the one to interview her for this Q&A with the Academy, it totally caught Billie off guard. She had no clue that Ariana was such a fan of hers.”

The insider also shared that Billie and Ariana have “a lot in common beyond just their music careers” and are “very much aligned in their values and beliefs.” They added, “They’re both vegan, which is pretty amazing how in tune they are. Ariana has been in the industry for a while, so there’s definitely a big sister dynamic between her and Billie. She’s a great support for Billie.”

Eilish and Grande are gearing up to collaborate on a song

A source shared with the media that as the friendship between the two singers deepens, they’re planning to “do a song together.” Eilish is reportedly “psyched” about it and is already brainstorming ideas. During a Q&A in February, both the Ocean Eyes singer and Grande hinted at a potential collaboration when Eilish casually mentioned they might record "a few more songs" together.

She joked, “Oh my God, I meant questions. I’m on tour, you guys. I’m used to saying that. Sorry. Whoa, OK, OK, OK, two questions,” which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Grande playfully responded, “We do need to do that though,” suggesting a duet, but then clarified that they were “resting” their voices for the time being. Eilish chimed in, “That’s true. I do want to do that though.”

During the Q&A, Grande revealed that Eilish had always been her “dream person” to interview, although she thought Eilish might decline because she was “too busy” and “too fabulous.” Eilish, on her part, confessed to being a long-time fan of Grande, showcasing the mutual respect between the two artists.

She couldn’t hide her excitement during their chat, saying, “I love this girl so much and I love this movie so much and I love you.” Eilish reminisced about her childhood, mentioning that she still uses her old YouTube channel, where she used to watch Grande’s videos. “I was just in the car telling my mom that you can find old interviews of you from like 2014 with Billie Eilish comments like, ‘I’m Team Ari,’” she shared.

She added, “There are so many times I commented, ‘God, I just love Ariana so much.’ I used to call you ‘Ari’ to my brother [Finneas], and he’d be like, ‘Don’t call her Ari, you don’t know her!’”
