The grand launch of Bigg Boss Tamil’s season 8 is all set to take place on October 6. The reality show, which already witnessed seven seasons with host as Kamal Haasan, will now feature a new face. Actor Vijay Sethupathi will be anchoring this season. The grand launch and its subsequent episodes will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.

Bigg Boss Tamil is a Tamil reality show which copies the format of the international show Bigg Brother. The eighth season of the show is set to be launched on October 6, from 6pm onwards. It is to be noted that while the previous seasons of the show featured Kamal Haasan as the anchor, the upcoming season will feature Vijay Sethupathi taking the reins. The former had quit the show citing his previous commitments in films, due to which he had to step down.

Now, actor Vijay Sethupathi will be hosting the show and will appear during the weekend episodes. All eyes are on the actor on how he will take forward the show, and present it on October 6. The grand launch taking place on October 6 can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.

The makers have remained guarded about the contestants list. The launch will introduce each of the contestants, along with the house which is expected to have new features and challenges. Some of the rumoured names of contestants include Gokul, Paal Dabba, Sunita, Aishwarya and others.

The format of the show follows several known faces from the media and other industries being sent into a house which is cut off from the outside world. Housemates are thrown different tasks, and each of them are eliminated every week after the public elects them out. The host makes an appearance during the weekend episodes to interact with them.
