The first day of Bigg Boss Tamil 8 is over, and the show has already courted so much controversy. The reality show premiered on Sunday, October 6, with Vijay Sethupathi taking the reins from Kamal Haasan, by playing the host. Now, with one contestant, Sachana Namidass already evicted from the house, looks like the drama has only unfolded in multiples. In the recent eye of the storm are contestants Arnav and Anshitha Akbarsha.
Bigg Boss controversy: Arnav and Anshitha Akbarsha fuel fire
Soon after Sachana was evicted from the house, housemate Arnav was seen feeling sad as he rued it was a planned motive to send her out. He was soon comforted by Anshitha. While Anshitha and Arnav have shared the screen space in the television serial Chellamma, social media has learned that the two go way back together, when Arnav’s wife had alleged that her husband was in an extra-marital affair with Anshitha.
Some of the netizens have shared an audio clip between his wife and Anshitha where the latter is heard speaking against the wife, and confessing her love for her husband, while Arnav's wife is heard alleging the duo of cheating on her.
Netizens are also prompted to think something is not right, after Arnav chooses to nominate Anshitha, given their past has already been known and that he has a game plan. Only the coming weeks will tell us how the duo’s rapport will change during the game.

This time, Vijay Sethupathi will be anchoring the show, replacing Kamal Haasan.
