This time, the show witnessed a major change, with Vijay Sethupathi stepping in as the new host. The Maharaja actor replaced Kamal Haasan, who hosted all the previous seasons of BB Tamil, as the new captain.  Interestingly, the National Award winner has now impressed the netizens, with his appearance in the Bigg Boss Tamil 8 premiere episode.

The fans, who were worried about the show after Kamal Haasan made an exit, suggest that the makers have found the right replacement for the Ulaganayagan. The Maharaja actor has been doing an excellent job, especially while interacting with the contestants.

Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja co-star Sanjana Namidas, Anshitha Akbarsha, Deepak Dinkar, RJ Ananthi, Ravindar Chandrasekaran, Arnav, Gaana Jeffry, Ranjith, Arun Prasath, VJ Vishal, Jacqueline, Muthukamaran Jagatheesan, Soundariya Nanjundan, Pavitra Janani, Dharsha Gupta, Sathya, Sunitha Gogoi, and Tharshika are the 18 contestants of this season. The show is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, and will be telecasted on Star Vijay channel.
