One of the most awaited reality shows in Kannada television history, Bigg Boss Kannada is all set to return for a brand-new season. This year too, it will be a 100-day television season only, with 2022 having been the only time when an OTT-only mini season was introduced, and the top 4 contestants given direct entry into the TV season. Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep, who has hosted the show from the beginning, returns yet again, although there were rumours of Rishab Shetty or Ramesh Aravind likely to replace him.

Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11 on Colors Kannada and JioCinema

To be telecast on Colors Kannada, Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11 will also be available to stream for free on JioCinema. The grand opening of Season 11 be on September 29 Sunday, and will begin at 6 pm, when Sudeep finally introduces the contestants who will head into the house. Last year, the final decision of who goes into the house and who doesn’t rested with the studio audience and a panel of judges comprising former contestants, as they voted for and against new inmates.

Following the grand opening, daily episodes will be available from 9.30 pm on both Colors Kannada and JioCinema. Additionally, fans can also watch the live telecast of proceedings in the house 24*7 on JioCinema. However, much of the audio will remain muted. 

A cut-off percentage was set, with anyone failing to achieve it, being sent home immediately. Those teetering close to the mark would be put on hold and given a second chance to qualify. It is unclear if Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11 will follow the same format.

In the last couple of years, the makers have been under intense fire for the choice of contestants, including the likes off Sonu Sreenivasa Gowda, Rakshak Bullet, Aryavardhan, Prashant Sambargi, among many others. In fact, given that the show often became about petty fights between contestants, with bullying and use of foul language rampant, netizens had been urging Sudeep not to return as host. 

Currently, a few names have come up as potential contestants for Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11, which will be confirmed closer to when shooting for the inaugural event begins. As usual, 16 contestants is the expected number of contestants.
