There is no denying that Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep is a great host and that his contribution to the success of Bigg Boss Kannada over the last decade is immeasurable. Sudeep is the face of Bigg Boss Kannada, but he is now ending that stint. Season 11 will be Sudeep’s last as the host of the show, which he announced, without citing any particular reason, earlier this week. The news has, no doubt, divided netizens.

While die-hard fans of the actor are thrilled, and believe that it will allow Sudeep to focus on movies, those who loved seeing him as part of the reality show say that they cannot imagine anyone else taking up the role. One section of fans has been urging Sudeep to give up on Bigg Boss Kannada and even the Celebrity Cricket League, as he has not had a film release in over two years. Cricket is a passion that Sudeep is unlikely to ever give up on, even if he’s not actively playing on ground. Bigg Boss Kannada, though, is a different ball game. 

Following Sudeep’s announcement of his impending departure at the end of Season 11, fans of the show have been trying to gather support online to try and get him to change his mind. One thing that is unanimous among those who want him to leave and those who don’t is that there is no denying that Sudeep is the best host that Bigg Boss Kannada could have had and that they cannot really fathom anyone else filling his very large shoes. 

“No one can replace you as host of Bigg Boss Kannada”, is a common sentiment, with fans stating that his charisma, style and wit made him the ultimate host. Many also felt that even if the showrunners find a suitable replacement for Season 12, the excitement level will not be the same, given that Sudeep has been at the helm of affairs for over a decade. 

The silver lining, according to fans of the superstar is that his calendar, will open up to accommodate more film work. In fact, Sudeep had earlier spoken about how difficult it was for him to shuttle between the set of his last film and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10.
