Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be released on November 1. Before the release, Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, and Vidya Balan were busy promoting the film on Monday, Kartik and Vidya came to Kolkata for promotions. They visited some city schools before meeting the press. While talking to the media, the actress opened up about the RG Kar incident.

While answering a question, Vidya said that she was heartbroken when she heard such a heinous crime took place in a city like Kolkata. “Main hil gayi thi (I was shaken to the core). Kolkata is one place where respect for women is not just a saying. People really do respect women here. So, when I heard the news I was heartbroken exactly like the people here. I was in disbelief. Eta to Maa er shohor (this is the city of Maa). How can something as gruesome as this happen here?” In the press conference, they also spoke about working experience and other aspects of the film.

RG Kar incident shook everyone

On August 9, an on-duty junior doctor was brutally raped and murdered at Kolkata’s esteemed Medical College and hospital. The city saw an enormous protest against the perpetrators. From celebrities to common men – millions of people took to the streets in rallies. Later, protests consolidated nationally and globally.

After the tremendous box office success of two previous films, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is scheduled to release this week. Vidya and Madhuri’s dance number, Aami Je Tomar, has already created a buzz across social media. It is yet to be seen if the third chapter of this successful franchise creates magic at the box office.
