Bharti remembers putting SRK in a Lalli outfit
When the host brought up that time Shah Rukh Khan mentioned in an interview how Bharti Singh dressed him up as Lalli, she shared, "I cried a lot. I had just come from my village and was new to the industry. They were saying Shah Rukh Khan was coming, and I wondered if he would really do Lalli. I didn’t know how big he was back then—I hadn’t seen Mannat yet. So, I asked him, ‘Sir, will you dress up as Lalli?’ He was so sweet and said, ‘Yes.’ When I put the wig on him, he asked, ‘Didn’t you have a frock too?’"
She went on to say, "I just lost it when he dressed up. Here I was, a girl from a poor family in Amritsar, and I had the chance to tell Shah Rukh Khan something, and he actually wore the frock and wig. Tears just filled my eyes, man. That day was one of the best, truly a golden moment for me."
Bharti also shared her admiration for Shah Rukh, saying she’s a massive fan and appreciates how genuine he is, mentioning that he doesn’t really engage much on social media.
SRK in his Lalli outfit
Shah Rukh Khan once made a guest appearance on Comedy Nights Bachao, where he hilariously dressed up as Lalli, complete with a wig and a frock. A clip from that episode has been making the rounds on social media, and in it, SRK humorously remarks, "People already don’t see me as a macho hero. After this, any tiny bit of that impression will definitely disappear." Following that, a teary-eyed Bharti embraced SRK, who sweetly kissed her hands.
