Riya Sen and Raima Sen's father and Moon Moon Sen's husband Bharat Dev Verma breathed his last on November 19. His demise evidently devastated his daughters and wife. After Raima's heart-wrenching social media post on her father, Riya penned an emotional open letter.  

On Sunday, Riya took to her Instagram and wrote, "Dear Daddy, It’s been a few days since you left for a better place, and writing this feels like accepting it. The love and support I’ve received from others during this tough time have helped me understand the true meaning of losing a parent. The heartfelt messages and stories remind me I’m not alone. One poignant moment was when someone gently touched my arm and said, ´This skin is an extension of your skin. You’ll always be a part of me. Love always, Daddy’s girl forever. Along with the letter, she posted a photo of her kissing her father.  

Earlier, Raima Sen also took to social media and wrote, "Daddy Can’t write anything yet. Words fall short of what a great father and husband you have been. Till then dad may you be happy wherever you are and live king size like you always did. Will miss you always and love you." 

Bharat fell ill on Tuesday morning. Promptly, a private hospital in Dhakuria was notified. But before the ambulance came, he breathed his last. Moon Moon and Raima were in Delhi at that time. They came back to Kolkata at 4 pm on Tuesday. Riya was with her father at their Kolkata place. Moon Moon told the media, "He protected everyone. Now our lives will be changed." Raima said, "I will definitely feel his absence. I regret not being with him when he passed."
