The Cowboy Carter tour was intended to be Beyoncé's spectacular comeback to the stage. Her tenth concert tour features the artist performing 22 shows in the US, UK, and France. However, just two days prior to the initial concert starting in LA, tickets for numerous performances remain unsold. As per a recent report, the singer is currently experiencing online mockery due to the ticket sales not progressing despite a significant reduction in prices.

Beyonce's Cowboy Carter tour ticket sales

On Twitter, numerous users highlighted that the prices of tickets for various shows in the US had decreased to the cost of a 'McDonald's Meal'. Music enthusiasts flocked to Twitter (now X) to indicate that resale tickets for the Los Angeles concert are currently listed at $20, marking a 75% reduction from the original price of $85. Many noted that the $20 selling price was lower than McDonald's new Minecraft meal, introduced in collaboration with The Minecraft Movie. It retails for more than $21 in the US.

Online, the singer was roasted for what was taken as her inability to sell out concerts this close to the tour start. "The Cowboy Carter tour starts in less than a week, and there are still thousands of tickets left for opening night..." one tweet read.

Fans defend Beyonce

Many Beyoncé admirers stood up for the artist, stating that even her recent tour gained momentum later on. "Just wait until the tour kicks off, once those videos begin to emerge, folks will rush to buy tickets, I’m certain of it," commented one supporter. Others highlighted that the $20 fee is for resale tickets, indicating that Beyoncé and her team have already earned their revenue from those.
