Ben Affleck exhibited noticeable signs of stress upon arriving at his Los Angeles office this week, coinciding with speculation that his former spouse, Jennifer Garner, has encouraged him to "mature."

The actor, known for his role in Batman, appeared serious beneath his unkempt beard and grey fleece jacket as he arrived in his new electric Cadillac Escalade at his Hollywood workplace.

Tensions are escalating between Garner and Affleck due to her discontent with his approach to his new relationship with Jennifer Lopez following their separation. Despite their divorce after eleven years of marriage, Ben Affleck remains supportive of Jennifer Garner as they co-parent their three children. This evolving situation is increasingly causing her distress.

"Jen currently holds significant influence over Ben, which makes her feel a strong sense of responsibility to monitor his actions, especially regarding his treatment of J. Lo. In her opinion, he has been rather impatient and unappreciative towards her," a source revealed to In Touch Weekly.

Affleck’s personal life has seen its fair share of upheaval recently

On January 7, the 52-year-old Academy Award winner sought temporary refuge at Garner’s $7.8 million residence in Brentwood Park due to the severe wildfires affecting Los Angeles. Although his own property in Brentwood was ultimately unharmed, the wildfires caused significant destruction in the region, resulting in 27 fatalities, the loss of over 13,600 structures, and an estimated economic impact ranging from $135 to $150 billion.

At the same time, Garner has been living in a rental costing $53,271 per month while her $8 million farmhouse in Brentwood undergoes renovations, remaining just a few blocks away from Affleck.

Bennifer's professional collaboration is ongoing

The filmmaker, who has won the Oscar twice, has produced a new version of Kiss of the Spider Woman, featuring Lopez alongside Tonatiuh and Diego Luna. This film is scheduled to debut at the Sundance Film Festival next Sunday. Lopez, portraying three roles in the drama set in an Argentinian prison, characterized the project as “impactful and important,” while noting its differences from other musicals such as Wicked.

Additionally, Affleck and Lopez are confronted with the task of selling their $68 million megamansion in Beverly Hills, known as Crestview Manor, which they acquired in May 2023 for $60.85 million.
