Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez wrapped up their divorce in early January 2025, officially ending their two-year marriage. A source revealed that the former couple aimed to keep things friendly during the divorce, opting not to "nickel and dime each other" along the way.

Since the ex-couple skipped the prenuptial agreement, things could have gotten really complicated. But Affleck and Lopez managed to split their assets without fighting over every little thing. A source shared with InTouch Weekly, “Jennifer and Ben are officially divorced, and the silver lining is that it never got ugly. Many expected their lawyers to go all out, but they both chose to end things on good terms,” in January 2025.

The source also mentioned that they didn’t want to “nickel and dime each other” because “they have too much respect for one another.” They added, “It might have crossed their minds, but it just wasn’t worth it. They share a lot of history and actually parted as friends.”

The settlement papers showed that everything like their clothes, jewelry, and personal stuff went to the On The Floor singer. Meanwhile, Affleck got to hang onto his businesses, including his production partnership with Matt Damon, Artists Equity.
