Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been successfully co-parenting their three children for several years, but their recent displays of affection have sparked rumors that their relationship may be shifting towards something deeper.

The former spouses, who announced their separation nearly ten years ago, were seen together at a paintball park in Castaic, California, in early March, celebrating their son Samuel’s 13th birthday.

Although they have frequently attended family events together, a witness at the celebration remarked on their affectionate behavior, suggesting that there were “sparks” between them. The observer noted that they were “giggling and joking and enjoying each other's company,” as reported by Radar Online.

“It’s well-known that Ben has been relying on Jen more since his breakup with Jennifer Lopez last year,” a source revealed. “It’s hard to overlook how close they have become.”

Body language expert analyzes Affleck and Garner's hug

Body language expert Patti Wood analyzed Affleck and Garner's embrace at the paintball venue, stating, “His hug is not typical for an ex-partner.”

“His arm wrapped fully around her, with his pelvis and front body in contact with hers, suggests a level of intimacy and a desire for connection,” she explained to Radar Online.

Affleck has publicly expressed remorse regarding his past with Garner, referring to their divorce as the “biggest regret of my life.” Garner has also spoken positively about their relationship, stating, “I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him. And I would go back and remake that decision… He's the love of my life. What am I going to do about that?”

Despite this, Garner has been in a committed relationship with businessman John Miller since 2018. While he has been patient, sources indicate that he is aware of the significant time she spends with Affleck. “John wants Jen for himself,” an insider noted, adding that he has opted to remain mostly silent regarding their relationship.
