Hollywood actor Ben Affleck was spotted wearing a wedding ring in Los Angeles, prompting a flurry of inquiries online. This sighting comes just months after he finalized his divorce from pop icon Jennifer Lopez, leading to speculation about the timing.

Currently engaged in the filming of a thriller, Ben has reignited interest in his personal life. He recently remarked that his divorce from the pop star has been a peaceful process, contrary to the dramatic narrative that many might expect.

Is the ring real or just for a role?

On Friday, Ben was seen in front of the cameras while filming his upcoming Netflix project, Animals. This film will signify his return as an actor, director, and writer since his work on 2023's Air. During a break from shooting, the actor was observed wearing his wedding ring. Page Six shared images of the star on X (formerly Twitter), generating considerable excitement.

According to a report from People.com, the 52-year-old actor portrays a married candidate for mayor, with Kerry Washington playing his wife in the film. 

"He’s both acting and producing. He’s always a pleasure to collaborate with," a source informed People, highlighting that Ben is taking on the role of "a married mayoral candidate" in the project. Recent photographs from the film's set show the actor and filmmaker wearing a wedding ring. "Filming has just begun, but everything has been going well so far. Ben is in high spirits and incredibly enjoyable to work with," the source continued.

While it remains uncertain, it appears that the wedding band is intended for Ben's character rather than being a personal accessory.

Ben is also serving as a producer for the film, which commenced shooting in March of this year under the production company Artist Equity, co-founded with his actor-friend Matt Damon. Although Damon was initially slated to join the cast, he has been occupied with filming Christopher Nolan's upcoming project, The Odyssey. The film Animals features prominent roles played by Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Adriana Paz, Ray Fisher, Mark Kassen, and Christopher Woodley.
