Ben Affleck is taking a moment to think about his personal life and the deep connection he has with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. In his GQ cover story for April 2025, which came out on March 25, the actor discussed topics like fame, being a dad, and the difficulties of navigating life under the spotlight.

Affleck shares insights about his relationship with Garner

While talking about the attention his life receives, he shared insights on co-parenting their three kids—Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel—and highlighted the strong bond he and Garner have maintained over the years.

Affleck mentioned, “What I’ve really focused on is: I know what’s happening in my life. More importantly, my kids are aware too. My ex-wife and I had a rule when they’d see something in the tabloids; we’d tell them, 'Just remember, this isn’t always accurate. If it were, you’d have 15 siblings based on all those stories about your mom being pregnant,'” as reported by The Mirror US.

He added, “I’m really fortunate to have a fantastic co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who is amazing, and we collaborate well. It can be more of a hassle than anything else, but there are definitely worse situations. I still haven’t figured out why I’m such a target for—"

Affleck and Garner fuel dating speculation following a fun day out together

Affleck and Garner's strong connection is well-known, and it was especially clear during a recent family outing for their son Samuel's 13th birthday. On March 2, the former couple was seen at a paintball venue in Los Angeles, all suited up with protective masks, vests, and paintball guns.

At one moment, the Batman star was spotted with his arm around his ex-wife's waist while she was getting ready to take a shot, which sparked discussions about their amicable relationship. They tied the knot in 2005, separated in 2015, and finalized their divorce in 2018.

Affleck went on to marry Jennifer Lopez in 2022, but their marriage came to an end after three years when she filed for divorce in August 2024.
