Actor Vikas Sethi, who was known for his roles in well-known shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, and others, passed away on Sunday, September 8. If reports are to be believed, the actor took his last breath after suffering from a cardiac arrest. 

Vikas Sethi passes away

According to a report in Telly Chhakar, Vikas passed away in his sleep after suffering from a heart attack. The actor was 48 years old and is survived by his wife Jhanvi Sethi and twin boys.

Vikas Sethi made his acting debut in the year 2003 as a lead actor in the adult drama film 'Oops!'. He then became a known actor after starring in multiple soaps in the 2000s. The actor is also known for being one of the characters in the iconic film 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham'. He played the role of Robbie in the film who is in love with Kareena Kapoor's character. Vikas was also a part of the third season of the dance reality show, Nach Baliye with his first wife, Amita. 

Vikas' sudden demise has left the industry and fans in shock. In an old interview with SpotboyE, the actor admitted that he made mistakes in his youth, but he also said that he was 21 then. He said, “Yes, I have made mistakes, but isn’t that human?” The publication quoted the actor saying, “he was suffering monetarily and was clinically depressed.”

The actor also spoke about how when things dried up everyone distanced themselves from him. He said, “Friends who would stand outside my home, requesting me to party with them, distanced themselves when I wasn’t doing anything. I also realised that there are no permanent friends in this industry.” Meanwhile, In 2019, Vikas played a significant role in the Telugu hit, ISmart Shankar.
