When asked about the possibility of dismantling a stereotype, Barkha addressed the prevalent beauty standards within the country and the entertainment sector. She emphasized that individuals should be evaluated based on their talent rather than their appearance.

In our discussion, Barkha Bisht expressed that there is a common belief that an artist can only portray a specific character if they possess a certain physical appearance in real life. She illustrated her point by stating, "In our country, there exists a stereotype linked to one's looks. If you present a certain way in your daily life, it is assumed that you cannot embody a different character. For instance, if I appear as an urban western woman, people might conclude, 'She cannot portray a village girl,' and vice versa."

The actress further elaborated, "Fair skin continues to be equated with beauty. I believe that beyond merely fitting the visual mold, it is essential to assess whether the individual has the capability to perform the role effectively."

To further substantiate her argument, Barkha referenced her co-star Riva Arora from Power of Paanch, who was also part of the discussion.

"Currently, I envision casting Riva in a very strong role. However, upon seeing Riva, one might think she appears too sweet to take on such a character. This stereotype must be challenged... one should never judge a book by its cover. Therefore, do not assess my physical appearance and conclude that I cannot embody a particular character," she remarked.
