Actor Balakrishna surprised music composer Thaman S following the success of their recent film, Daaku Maharaaj. To express his gratitude, the actor presented Thaman with a luxurious new car, likely one of the Porsche Cayenne models.
Balakrishna’s gift for Thaman
Balakrishna’s team shared images on X (formerly Twitter) depicting him presenting a bouquet to Thaman, captioning, “#NandamuriBalakrishna Garu surprises the sensational @MusicThaman with a grand Porsche as a token of appreciation!”
The images capture Thaman beaming as he receives Balakrishna's generous gift and blessings. Although the specific model of the car is not identified in the post, it appears to be one of the Cayenne variants. According to HT Auto, the model introduced in 2018 was priced between ₹1.27 crore and ₹1.93 crore on-road in Delhi. CarDekho recently reported its price range as being between ₹1.42 crore and ₹2 crore in Delhi.
Thaman’s film with Balakrishna
Balakrishna recently appeared in Daaku Maharaaj, directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Naga Vamsi under Sitara Entertainment. The film, which featured Bobby Deol, Shraddha Srinath, Pragya Jaiswal, and Urvashi Rautela, grossed over ₹125 crore globally.
Released during Sankranthi, Daaku Maharaaj was praised for its technical excellence. Thaman also garnered positive reviews for his musical contributions and background score. The film faced competition from Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunam but managed to perform well. Since the release of Akhanda in 2021, Balakrishna has enjoyed a successful streak.
Controversy for Dabidi Dibidi
While Daaku Maharaaj was well-received, the song Dabidi Dibidi sparked significant discussion. Featuring Balakrishna and Urvashi, the choreography by Sekhar Master was criticized for being inappropriate.
Urvashi recently shared her thoughts with The Hollywood Reporter India, stating, "Throughout the rehearsals, everything proceeded seamlessly and was well-managed. However, the situation unfolded so unexpectedly that it has been challenging to understand the reasons behind the discussions regarding the choreography. We were unaware that it would be perceived in this manner, as the rehearsals went according to our expectations."
