Senior NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12, 2024. The senior politician was killed outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra. The news of his assassination has sent shockwaves across the political and film fraternities. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan cancelled Bigg Boss 18's shoot and rushed to Lilavati Hospital to meet Siddique's family. Now, ANI has shared visuals of security being enhanced outside Khan's Bandra residence.
Security beefed up outside Salman Khan's residence
The news agency shared a video of tight security outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. The tweet reads, "WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra | Security enhanced outside Galaxy apartments, the residence of actor Salman Khan (sic)." Take a look at it below:
For the uninitiated, Khan was reportedly shooting last night for Bigg Boss 18 in Film City, Goregaon. After he learned about Baba Siddique's tragic death, Salman canceled the remaining shoot of the reality show. Visuals of the superstar arriving at Lilavati Hospital to meet Siddique's family soon surfaced online. He looked visibly disturbed while reaching the hospital at midnight.
Salman and Baba Siddique had been friends for many years now. It was at Siddique's 2013 Iftar party that Khan ended his 5-year-long feud with Shah Rukh Khan. The superstars gave each other a warm hug at the party. Since then, there has been no looking back for Salman and SRK.
Baba Siddique's tragic death
Baba Siddique was shot by three assailants outside his son's office last night in Bandra. The senior politician was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital. However, the Senior NCP leader succumbed to the bullet injuries. Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, and Zaheer Iqbal were among the first few celebrities who arrived at the hospital to meet Siddique's family.
