Senior NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead by three assailants in Mumbai on October 12. The senior politician was killed outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra. He was immediately rushed to the Lilavati Hospital, however, he succumbed to the bullet injuries. As soon as Salman Khan got the news of Siddique's tragic death, the superstar rushed to the hospital. The Bollywood actor reportedly cancelled Bigg Boss 18's and visited Baba Siddique's family.

Salman Khan rushes to meet Baba Siddique's family after his death

After news of Baba Siddique's murder broke, celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Zaheer Iqbal, and Raj Kundra visited Lilavati Hospital. As per media reports, Salman Khan was shooting for Bigg Boss 18 in Film City, Goregaon, when he learned about Siddique's death. The superstar cancelled the remaining shoot and rushed to the hospital to meet the senior politician's family.

For those who are unaware, Baba Siddique was close to several Bollywood celebrities. The senior politician was responsible for Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's patch-up. The superstars buried the hatchet and hugged each other at Siddique's Iftar party in 2013.

Baba Siddique succumbs to bullet injuries

Dr Niraj Uttamani of Lilavati Hospital told ANI that Baba Siddique was brought to NHRC emergency medical services at 9:30 pm on October 12, 2024. "He had lost a lot of blood and recitation was initiated immediately. He was shifted to ISU where further attempts for revival were made...Despite all recitative efforts we were unable to revive him and was declared dead at 11:27 pm on October 12...," he told the news agency.

Salman Khan's work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan is busy hosting Bigg Boss 18. The superstar hosts the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes of the reality show. His next big project is Sikandar, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on Eid 2025.
