BTS V keeps his fans in the loop with updates about his life

V kicked off the New Year by sending warm wishes to his fans and hinted at his upcoming discharge and return to the spotlight. He asked, “Are you enjoying the holiday? I hope you’re having a blast during this long break!” He also mentioned, “I’ve been hitting the gym a lot in the military! It won’t be long now! I can’t wait to see you all.”

When a fan inquired, “Have you hit your target weight?” V replied, “I’m snapping a pic and heading back!” Before heading off for military service, he had promised his fans during a live stream that he would “bulk up to 86 kg,” and his journey to achieve that has been a hot topic among his supporters. Another fan expressed, “I really missed you! Wishing Taehyung a happy New Year and an amazing holiday. Let’s meet soon, I love you,” to which V responded, “Yes! Me too,” as reported by AllKpop.

The K-pop star enlisted for his mandatory military service in December 2023 after successfully passing the entrance exam for the Capital Defense Command’s Special Mission Team (SDT). He then underwent further training at the Army General Administration School before being assigned to a unit.

At 29, he’s currently serving as a standout member of the Special Forces Unit of the Military Police Corps under the 2nd Army Corps in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. V’s discharge is just around the corner, scheduled for June 10—only four months away!
