BTS RM recently cleared up some confusion after fans thought he was in a photo he shared on his Instagram story. On January 27, he posted a picture of soldiers shoveling heavy snow, which made a lot of people think he was one of them. But RM quickly stepped in to clarify the situation and put those rumors to rest.

RM clears up fans' confusion

RM shared another story on Instagram on Tuesday, January 28, to set the record straight about his earlier post. He made it clear that he wasn’t one of the soldiers shoveling snow in the previous image. The singer had actually found the photo in the news and wanted to show his support for the soldiers doing the tough work. In his Instagram story, he wrote, “I’m not in the picture I posted yesterday. I got it from the news…Big shoutout to all the soldiers working hard to clear the snow during the holidays, fighting!” as reported by Koreaboo.

In the earlier post from the Indigo singer, you could see a few soldiers clearing a path as they shoveled away thick snow. The confusion arose because the soldiers' faces weren’t visible in the shot.

RM's release from military service

RM is currently serving his mandatory military duty in South Korea, having signed up on December 11, 2023. He’s set to wrap up his service and be discharged on June 10, 2025, as part of the country’s compulsory military service rules. Fans are eagerly following his journey, and RM has been sharing snippets of his life during this time
