BTS rapper J-Hope performed in Mexico City over the weekend as part of his Hope on the Stage Tour. Recently, a video surfaced online showing an audience member inappropriately touching him, which has sparked outrage among fans.

In the footage, J-Hope stepped off the stage while performing and approached the audience. As he got closer, a female fan reached out and made contact with his chest and stomach. He quickly moved away while continuing to sing, with his security team visible beside him in the video.

A video was posted on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, "There were rumors of a fan sliding her hand under J-Hope’s shirt during a show as the idol entered the crowd. Although this was initially dismissed, a viral video confirmed that a fan did touch J-Hope on the stomach without his consent." In response, one fan remarked, "People lacking morals and respect for BTS. It is completely inappropriate and disrespectful to touch him without consent."

A comment stated, "This is highly inappropriate; it's evident he was uncomfortable as he recoiled immediately after she placed her hands on him. I never expected such behavior at his concert, especially since his tour has been progressing so well. Let's refrain from this kind of conduct." Another individual tweeted, "Why would you do this? He finally has the opportunity to engage with the fans, something he has always desired. Do you really want the boys to stop interacting with us?"

An X user expressed, "This is unacceptable and shocking. Why would anyone do that?" Another commenter added, "Do you attend concerts just to touch the artists? It makes them uneasy. What do you hope to achieve by doing that?" A further tweet condemned the act, stating, "Shame on whoever did that! For heaven's sake, please do not make him uncomfortable. Jin had to take legal action against a woman who kissed his cheek, and now this. Do not overstep boundaries."

About J-Hope's tour

Regarding J-Hope's tour, he is set to perform in San Antonio and Oakland before wrapping up the North American leg of the tour at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Following this, the tour will proceed to Asia, with scheduled stops in the Philippines and Singapore. This marks J-Hope's inaugural tour as a solo artist.
