Bollywood star Ayesha Jhulka, famous for her roles in movies like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and Kohra, recently shared her thoughts on her challenging breakup with Armaan Kohli. During a chat with Vickey Lalwani, she also cleared up the rumors about their engagement and suggested that cheating was a factor in their separation.

Ayesha has dismissed any rumors about dating Akshay Kumar or Mithun Chakraborty, but she did confirm her past relationship with Armaan Kohli. She stated, “We had a relationship, but I was never engaged to him. It’s a part of my life I’d rather not discuss because it’s not significant to me anymore. I made the decision to end things. There were several reasons for that, including infidelity. There are certain people and experiences I prefer to leave behind for good.”

Ayesha admits that ending things with Armaan was tough

When asked about whether Armaan was abusive or controlling, Ayesha made it clear that there were no lasting effects and referred to it as an ‘erased chapter of life.’ She mentioned, "It doesn’t impact my life anymore. My parents were not only supportive of my choice but also strongly believed I should make that move. They kept encouraging me, but I wasn’t ready to act on it. Then, all of a sudden, I did—and I’m thankful for that. Many people told me it was the right choice, but I didn’t need their validation because I already felt it was right. I’m a very strong person—I’ve always had a strong mindset and a fighting spirit. I don’t dwell on things, and I don’t owe anyone an explanation. It wasn’t a walk in the park, but when you feel bitterness about certain situations, it can make things easier. I put my career on hold, turned down several film offers, and prioritized my personal life."

Ayesha and Armaan were in a relationship for a few years and were even rumored to be engaged. They collaborated on projects like Kohra and Anaam. In 2003, Ayesha tied the knot with construction mogul Sameer Vashi, whom she met through her mother. The couple chose not to have children.
