Tony Buzbee, the prominent attorney representing several lawsuits against music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, is facing a new allegation. A lawsuit has been filed claiming that Buzbee transmitted a sexually transmitted infection to a woman referred to as "Jane Doe." In response, Buzbee countered accusations from Jay-Z's Roc Nation, asserting that the entertainment firm is trying to undermine his credibility. He characterized the allegations as "frivolous" and suggested they are intended to deter him from continuing legal action against Diddy and the other rapper.
Tony Buzbee accused of giving STI to a woman
The lawsuit submitted to the New York Supreme Court contends that Buzbee took advantage of the woman's trust, which began with their online interaction in 2018. As reported by TMZ, the plaintiff, referred to as Jane Doe, alleges that Buzbee pursued a romantic relationship with her, inviting her to Houston for a dinner and a show. After the performance, he persuaded her to stay by booking a room at a luxury hotel, where they subsequently engaged in sexual intercourse. The lawsuit claims that Buzbee did not disclose his infection with a sexually transmitted disease, the specific type of which is not detailed in the legal documents.
Subsequently, the woman asserts that upon her return home, she began to experience discomfort in her genital area. After consulting a doctor, she was informed that she had contracted a sexually transmitted disease as a result of her encounter with Buzbee. Upon receiving this information, she reached out to Buzbee, who expressed remorse, appearing to be aware of his condition beforehand.
Furthermore, she alleges that Tony Buzbee requested that she keep her diagnosis confidential and offered her free legal counsel as a form of compensation. Despite this, she continued to see Buzbee, claiming that he manipulated her into maintaining his secret.
The lawsuit also references incidents of physical violence, including an instance where Buzbee allegedly pushed a champagne flute into her face. Jane Doe asserts that she possesses dental and medical records to substantiate her claims.
Tony Buzbee blasts Jay-Z's company for launching smear campaign
Jay-Z has reportedly been named in a revised lawsuit connected to an accuser of Diddy, who claims that both the rapper and Diddy assaulted her at a VMA afterparty in 2012. In light of these allegations, Jay-Z has publicly criticized the attorney representing Jane Doe and has pledged to pursue more vigorous legal measures. The Texas-based lawyer stated to The Mirror that the efforts to undermine and intimidate him from advancing claims against Diddy have escalated to a criminal level.
"This recent case, like its predecessors, is baseless, absurd, and preposterous, and it will be dismissed alongside the others. It appears that almost daily, another unfounded accusation is being made, all seemingly orchestrated by individuals affiliated with or acting in concert with Roc Nation," he remarked.
Roc Nation, established by Jay-Z in 2006, has been at the centre of these allegations. Earlier, Jay-Z accused Buzbee of attempting to extort his legal team, asserting, "My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, disguised as a demand letter, from a 'lawyer' named Tony Buzbee. He miscalculated the impact of these allegations and the ensuing public scrutiny, believing it would compel me to settle. On the contrary, it has motivated me to publicly expose you as the fraud you are. Therefore, I will not pay you a single cent!"
