In the previous year, Ashneer Grover, an entrepreneur and the former founder of BharatPe, made a guest appearance on Bigg Boss 18. During this episode, a heated exchange took place between him and the host, Salman Khan, who challenged Grover about his prior remarks concerning him. In reply, Ashneer has expressed his disapproval of the well-known actor's questioning on the program, claiming that it was an effort to "create drama."

Ashneer hits back at Salman

In a recent speech delivered to students at NIT Kurukshetra, Ashneer Grover, who has recently launched his own reality show called Rise and Fall, expressed his disapproval of Salman Khan's assertion that he "didn't know his name" during Bigg Boss 18. Grover stated, "He unnecessarily provoked competition by starting a dispute. I responded with composure when I was invited. Now, in a bid to create drama, you claim to have never encountered me? If you genuinely do not recognize my name, what prompted you to call me?"

He further elaborated, "Allow me to clarify an additional point. Should you take on the role of brand ambassador for my company, it would not have been possible for you to do so without our prior meeting. I have always managed my company with a strong hand, and every decision required my approval."

What Salman Khan had said

In 2023, Ashneer appeared on the Vagehra Vagehra podcast, where he expressed his disappointment regarding his inability to take a photograph with Salman. After Ashneer issued an apology, Salman conveyed his irritation during an episode of Bigg Boss 18, remarking, "I do not feel upset about these matters. However, it is inappropriate to create a misleading impression of someone, as it can have repercussions later on."

He further commented, "I only recently became aware of your presence. I was not even familiar with your name. However, upon viewing that video of yours, your face became recognizable to me." He concluded by advising, "It is crucial to be mindful of how you present yourself, even in our absence."

On January 30th, Amazon MX Player launched a new reality series titled Rise and Fall, in which participants are categorized as Rulers and Workers. The program is hosted by Ashneer Grover, who, in a promotional video, presented viewers with a divided living space. The upper section is occupied by the powerful and influential, while the lower section is reserved for those of lesser status. Grover assures audiences of a competition characterized by significant ups and downs, along with numerous instances of hypocrisy.
