Sanya Malhotra's new movie, Mrs, hit theaters earlier this week. It's a remake of the beloved Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen, and so far, both fans and critics are loving it. However, there was a bit of buzz when the trailer dropped last month since it didn't include the names of the technicians involved.

The director of the film, Arati Kadav, talked about the recent communication issue with HT and expressed her relief that Zee5, the platform where the film premiered, fixed it right away. "It was definitely a mistake," Arati mentioned, explaining, "There were a lot of people involved, and it was an honest error. We had 3-4 platforms working together on this. When I reached out, they acknowledged it was a genuine mistake and corrected it promptly."

Arati also shared that she connected with the crew during the situation. "I have a really great relationship with the crew. They feel like family since we have this lively WhatsApp group. We were chatting about it, and I'm glad the crew is finally getting the recognition they deserve. There are many newcomers in my film, and it was crucial for them to see their names out there," she added.

Sanya Malhotra's Mrs. is all about her journey and experiences

The director, known for her work on Cargo, expressed her hope that other platforms and production companies can learn from this experience. She mentioned, "A film involves a lot of behind-the-scenes effort. I believe the mission begins with the trailer, where you highlight the crew. This film was a challenging project, almost like performing microsurgery, and the crew approached it with so much love and dedication. I'm really happy that their names are finally getting recognized. I hope that, like us, other platforms will follow suit in the future."

Written by Harman Baweja and Anu Singh Choudhary, Mrs is based on Jeo Baby's The Great Indian Kitchen. The film features Sanya Malhotra, Kanwaljit Singh, and Nishant Dahiya, and it's available for streaming on Zee5.
