Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, widely recognized as The Rebel Kid, has returned to Instagram with new content following the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. On Tuesday, she addressed the threats she has faced in recent weeks through a post on the platform, accompanied by a concise yet impactful statement.

Her post included a warning: "Trigger warning: This post contains mentions of acid attacks, rape threats, and death threats." She shared several screenshots of abusive comments and threats, captioning the post, "And that’s not even 1%."

In a separate post, she stated, "Don't take away the story from the storyteller," without any additional caption.

Fans welcome her with love

In response to her posts, one fan expressed, "COME BACK. We don't deserve the story, but you deserve the love." Another comment read, "My queen, you absolutely got this. You are such a strong girl!!" A different user remarked, "Imagine trolling a woman for standing up for herself," while another fan encouraged her, saying, "They wanted you quiet. It's time for you to give them a big Roar!"

Recently, Apoorva, who boasts three million followers on Instagram, removed all her previous posts and unfollowed everyone.

Apoorva, along with other content creators, faced criticism during an episode of Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. In February, she was a guest on the show, which became embroiled in controversy after Ranveer Allahbadia made inappropriate remarks regarding parents and sex.

Numerous complaints were lodged in Mumbai seeking action against him, Apoorva, and Samay. She was accused of making an objectionable comment during the YouTube broadcast.

Apoorva subsequently appeared before the Mumbai police regarding the matter. The National Commission for Women also took serious notice of the vulgar and offensive comments and summoned the individuals involved.
