The debate surrounding India's Got Latent has intensified following the National Commission for Women (NCW) expressing significant concern regarding the inappropriate remarks made by Ranveer Allahbadia and others during the program. On Tuesday, the Mumbai police conducted a visit to the residence of the YouTuber. Subsequently, on Wednesday, Apoorva Mukhija went to the Khar police station in Mumbai to provide her statement.

According to a video posted by the official X account of the news agency ANI, Apoorva Mukhija was seen leaving the police station while being encircled by reporters who inquired about the case. The comedian and influencer concealed her face with a mask and proceeded directly to her vehicle. She chose not to provide any remarks regarding the situation.

Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija presented herself today at the Khar police station concerning the case associated with the program India's Got Latent. A complaint has been lodged against YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, influencer Apoorva Mukhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the event organizers of India's Got Latent for purportedly employing offensive and vulgar language during the show, as stated in the post's caption.

About the controversy

In addition to Apoorva, content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Ranveer Allahbadia appeared on an episode of Samay Raina's show, which has incited significant backlash due to offensive remarks. The National Commission for Women has summoned them to appear in person before the commission. The hearing is scheduled for February 17 at 12 PM at the NCW office in New Delhi, according to the official statement.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also questioned by reporters regarding the podcaster's comments. In response, he stated, "I have been made aware of the situation. I have not yet viewed the content. The statements made have been misrepresented. While everyone is entitled to freedom of speech, that freedom is limited when it infringes upon the rights of others."
