Mutyala later shared a photograph on his Instagram Stories featuring Anushka Sharma, who was present in Australia to cheer on her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli.

Nitish's father displayed profound emotion upon witnessing his son's remarkable achievement of scoring a century. "This day holds great significance for our family, and it is one we will always remember. He has consistently excelled since he was 14 or 15 years old, and now, competing at the international level, evokes an extraordinary sense of pride," he remarked.

On the second day of the Boxing Day Test, a video circulated on social media showing Virat Kohli being met with a barrage of boos as he made his way back to the dressing room. Following his dismissal for 36 runs, he appeared to lose his composure after being provoked by a fan.
