Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh made a remarkable debut alongside Anushka Sharma in the film Band Baaja Baaraat. Their chemistry on screen captivated audiences, contributing to the film's commercial success. In a 2011 interview with NDTV, Anushka explained her reasons for not being able to date Ranveer, stating that he "can’t be a boyfriend."

I recognize this, and that’s why I believe dating him is not an option for me. Many people inquire why we don’t spend time together, and I explain that this is the reason. I desire a partner who, at the end of the day, not only shares how his day went but also inquires about mine—which he is unlikely to do. Therefore, I cannot pursue a relationship with him."
