Ram Charan's upcoming film, Game Changer, directed by Shankar, is among the most eagerly awaited movies of the year. The film's lavish pre-release event took place at the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, USA, on Saturday, with the attendance of the cast and crew. However, a remark made by Shankar has drawn criticism from director Anurag Kashyap, who addressed the issue in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India.

What Anurag Kashyap said

During the interview, Anurag remarked, “I came across a statement from Shankar sir, which mentioned, ‘The attention span of today’s audience has significantly diminished. They engage with Reels. Therefore, we have considered this while creating Game Changer.’ I am uncertain about the implications of that! We will only understand it once we view the film.”

He further stated, “Numerous filmmakers are expressing similar sentiments, claiming, ‘My film is essentially a compilation of Reels because that is what the audience desires.’ Filmmakers who once inspired me as culinary artists, crafting unique creations, are now resembling caterers. The moment one begins to prioritize what the audience wishes to see, that marks the onset of a decline. The audience is not a singular entity; it is a vast ocean of individuals. There exists an audience for everything.”
