Veteran actor Anupam Kher tied the knot with actress-politician Kirron Kher in 1985. For the unversed, Sikandar Kher is the son of Kirron and her ex-husband Gautam Berry. In a recent interview, Anupam opened up about not having a child of his own with his wife and said that he feels the void now. 

Anupam Kher reflects on his personal life

During a recent appearance on the Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Anupam Kher said that he misses having a child of his own with his wife Kirron Kher. He stated that he didn’t feel it that much before, but now sometimes he does feel like it. 

"I think in the last seven to eight years. It's not like I am not happy with Sikander, but I think it's a joy to see a child growing up. But it’s okay. It’s not a tragedy in my life. But I sometimes feel it would have been a nice thing," he added. 

He further explained that he previously did not sense this void because he was focused on his work. The 69-year0old actor said that after he became 50-55, he started to feel the void.

" It was mostly because Kirron became busy, and so did Sikander. I work with kids in my organisation, The Anupam Kher Foundation. We do a lot of work with children, and sometimes when I see my friends’ children... (I miss having children), but it’s not a sense of loss," the Saraansh actor shared.

Kher was recently seen in the ZEE5 (OTTPlay Premium) movie The Signature. The film received praise from the viewers. Recently, he shared a heartwarming note on X to express his gratitude to the fans for showering love for the film. 

He wrote, "I am deeply humbled by the love our film #TheSignature is getting. Both, by the critics, as well as the audiences from all over the world. Personally it has been a windfall of great appreciation for my performance. Apart from my hard work it is the theme of love and the fear losing someone dear that is making a connect. A big THANK YOU to ALL."

Also starring Neena Kulkarni, Manoj Joshi, Ranvir Shorey, and Mahima Chaudhry, The Signature's plotrevolves around an elderly man Arvind who goes through emotional and financial turmoil after his wife suffers a critical health emergency.
