Actor Rozlyn Khan has initiated legal proceedings against her fellow actor Ankita Lokhande by filing a defamation lawsuit, following a public altercation between the two. The dispute arose when Ankita criticized Rozlyn for suggesting that Hina Khan was exploiting her cancer experience for publicity.

In her support for Hina, Ankita described Rozlyn's remarks as "cheap" and encouraged Hina to remain resilient.

Legal Action by Rozlyn

Rozlyn has now pursued legal action against Ankita and took to Instagram to disclose the court documents pertaining to the case, offering details about the ongoing legal matters. The documents delineate Rozlyn's allegations and the rationale for the defamation claim, which is rooted in Ankita's public statements.

In her post, Rozlyn stated, “I have consistently expressed that after I posed a straightforward question regarding the 15-hour surgery and inconsistencies in Hina Khan's treatment, she opted to remain silent. The hospital has adhered to patient privacy protocols, yet they chose to retaliate against me. I faced harassment from unidentified individuals, and numerous bots were deployed to post negative comments on my profile. Fan pages of television actresses were sharing my videos to further ridicule me.”

She continued, “Consequently, I had no choice but to report the matter to the local police station. Now, one of them, @lokhandeankita, is officially attacking my character instead of addressing the reality of the situation. It is surprising that after all this commotion, the so-called sherni has not clarified which surgery lasted 15 hours and how it was feasible for her to engage in scuba diving, snow sliding, and various stunts shortly after undergoing chemotherapy and a significant surgery that lasted 15 hours.”

What did Rozlyn say

In a recent interview, Rozlyn stated, "I am not pursuing Hina without reason; rather, I believe Hina is the one seeking attention regarding her cancer. I can confidently assert that Hina will never disclose her medical reports, as by this time, Dr. Mandar—who treated me and is currently treating Hina—would have made a public statement, or the hospital would have released information. All the videos have been pre-recorded and will be unveiled progressively alongside the launch of her various projects."

Ankita expresses her support for Hina  

Subsequently, Ankita wrote a detailed message in defence of Hina, stating: "How could anyone stoop so low? This is truly disgraceful! For your information, this young woman, Hina, is bravely battling cancer, and I can attest to this. Vikki visited her recently in the hospital during her chemotherapy, and Rocky was there with her. Vikki shared that he was moved to tears upon seeing her in that state. Hina, you are incredibly strong, our Sher Khan! This is a challenging journey for you and for anyone facing similar circumstances. May God bless you, and remember, this too shall pass. @realhinakhan."

While Rozlyn is also a survivor of cancer, Hina is currently fighting stage three breast cancer. Hina has been candid about her cancer experience on social media, often providing updates on her treatment in the hospital. She has yet to address Rozlyn's allegations.
