Game Changer is scheduled for release on January 10, 2025. Anjali plays a significant role and provides insights into her character, working alongside Shankar and Ram Charan, as well as discussing her future projects and her extensive career in the industry. Below is the transcript.

Anjali interview on Game Changer

You have two films lined up this Pongal 2025. How do you feel?

I am extremely excited and could not wish for anything more. The opportunity to have two films released in Tamil and Telugu within a week feels like a true blessing, especially after spending over ten years in the industry. One of the films features Ram Charan, while the other stars Vishal, whom I hold in high regard. I am looking forward to observing the audience's response to both films.

How did you land the role of Game Changer?

I was contacted by the office of Dil Raju, extending an invitation for me to participate in one of their film projects. To my astonishment, it was revealed that this was a project directed by Shankar sir. Upon hearing the story, I felt a surge of excitement, as my character played a crucial role in the film. Additionally, collaborating with Dil Raju’s production house feels like being part of a family, and the chance to act alongside Ram Charan is an extraordinary opportunity.

Can you tell us more about your character?

I portray the character of Parvathy, who is coincidentally the same name as my mother. Upon hearing the script from Shankar sir, I was struck by the profound nature of the character and promptly accepted the role. While the promotional materials do not disclose such information, my character is integral to the storyline and plays a pivotal role in a significant twist.

How did you prepare for the role?

Assuming the role of a village belle comes effortlessly to me. Ram Charan takes on a dual role, while I depict his wife during the flashback sequences. The character was crafted by Shankar sir with numerous intriguing twists. He urged me to deliver a natural performance, advising against excessive preparation. After filming, he frequently shared the rushes with me and commended my acting, which was a genuinely rewarding experience.

How was your experience working with Ram Charan?

He is a prominent star yet remarkably humble. From the very beginning, he ensured that I felt at ease on set. Ram Charan exudes a sense of calm and dignity, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. His support during the filming process was invaluable. Several of our scenes are deeply emotional and are likely to evoke tears from the audience. The chemistry and depth of our storyline are among the film's standout features.

What was it like being part of a Shankar film?

This experience is truly distinctive and memorable. The atmosphere on his sets is impressive, yet his true talent resides in his ability to convey drama, in which I have a crucial role. Observing Shankar sir's careful planning and innovative vision was truly motivating. Game Changer signifies his resurgence, and I am confident that this film will reaffirm his position of prominence.

Has Game Changer impacted your career?

Certainly. Engaging in a project that is rich in emotional depth has significantly expanded my viewpoint. Collaborating with Ram Charan in a pivotal role represents a significant achievement in my career. I have begun to receive substantial offers as a result. Projects of this nature facilitate my development as an actress, and I am truly grateful for the opportunities presented to me.

What are your upcoming projects?

I have an upcoming OTT show scheduled for release in 2025. Additionally, I have secured contracts for two Tamil films and one Telugu project, with further details to be revealed shortly. At present, my primary focus is on Game Changer, which I anticipate will serve as a significant turning point in my career.
